About Clocktower

Can you tell me a little about yourself?

Clocktower was created with the belief that tracking time should be effortless and affordable, and that it should fit your business. Time tracking is not just a back office function – it involves your employees and your customers, the two most important resources you have. We know you want to keep them happy.

Clocktower was started by three partners - Mark Bernard, Aaron LaMontagne and Jason Chagnon - in 2009 at a coffee shop in Keene, New Hampshire (we know…really original). We began like many other successful businesses: a group of people determined to satisfy a need not met by the market.

For years Jason had searched for a web based time tracking tool that would work for his company’s broad range of clients. Because his staffing agency places administrative, professional and light industrial employees, finding a solution that fit the diverse requirements proved impossible. That is where Jason’s friends Mark and Aaron entered the picture.

Mark, a database expert and owner of Transfer Knowledge, and Aaron, an e-commerce specialist and owner of FocusPoint Web Solutions, joined forces with a unified vision. From day one our primary goal was to build something flexible and easy to use, something that would fit the diverse needs of the staffing industry; including pricing that is affordable and predictable.

Working together we invested our time, energy and money with a firm conviction and clear vision to deliver something great to staffing companies. (We’re pretty sure we funded someone’s college tuition with the amount of coffee and pastries we consumed along the way.)

Today Clocktower is based in Keene, New Hampshire. We continue to grow and add new features and we are always looking for ways to make your employees and customers happy. We love staffing and we love great software. We hope you enjoy using Clocktower.

Meet Our Team

Aaron LaMontagne Co-founder

After realizing that his parents didn’t want him living at home forever Aaron started working in the print and graphics field. Good thing. Working for a progressive printing company gave him his first exposure to the internet, (what’s a home page?, ca. 1995). Since then he has built more websites then he cares to remember. Now he splits his time between Clocktower and his own web development company, FocusPoint Web Solutions. When he’s not working he’s trying to keep up with his busy family and dreaming about picking up his guitar and recording some new tunes.

Mark Bernard Co-founder

Mark remembers when DOS was the latest and greatest technology. He could start his sentences with “back in the day” but he doesn’t. He loves technology and exploring the possibilities of the digital world. His comfort zone consists of a cup of coffee, dim lit office and a screen full of data tables. Put him in front of a classroom teaching technology and you’ll see his true passion shine bright enough to light any room.
